Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Both her parents were both English. Her family was raised in a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions like King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her success resulted in her being cast as Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside as Ollie. She played Bambi on the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). She has performed on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was in the episodes of the show's second season as an regular. However, in May 2013, the news broke that Madekwe will be departing the show following her appearance as a guest on the premiere episode of its third season. She played Tituba in the series Salem from 2014 to. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletes, play baseball in summers and played hockey in winters. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. In the age of two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley was a competitive dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and the acrobatics. She was the top soloist in big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
