Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Krauss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass and country musician. She was born on the 23rd of July 1971. As a teenager, she made her debut in the music world and was a winner of local contests at the age of 10 old and recording her debut album at 14 years old. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. The group she joined was whom she performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in 1989.
